GROOVY BABY

Groovy (or, less commonly, Groove or Groovy) is a slang colloquialism popular during the 1960’s and 1970’s. It is near about synonymous with words such as fresh, excellent, fashionable, or amazing, depending on context.

The term originated in the jazz culture of the 1920’s, in which it referred to the groove of a piece of music, plus the response felt by its listeners.  In the year 1941 it was utilized as a part of tune Let me off Uptown by Gene Krupa. In the 1945 film A Thousand and One Nights, Phil Silvers utilizes the time to depict a pompously bejeweled turban.

The term was likewise some piece of the title of a TV project called Groovy Show, which kept running from 1967–1970. There was additionally an American TV toon show called Groovie Goolies, which kept running from 1970–1972.

GROOVY MUSIC

There is nothing like some groovy music. It just makes you feel so, so good.

You just out it on and let the vibes flow through your body, moving and groovin to the beautiful beats and sounds that come out of the speakers.

If you’re feeling down you won’t be for long, and if you already feeling high, then you will be elevated even higher. Everyone has their own groovy tracks they like to float and groove too.

Everyone has their own sound, their own taste of groovy music. Some like the soft slow beats that make you slide your feet, some like the hard rock and others with the hippidy hop, or even pop. Some like the old school jazz beats that slide, or some like the soul music that gets them through the night.

Whatever your track may be, put that groovy tune on and a smile you will see. Groovesters, excuse me whilst I make a move, my groovy song is on and I am feeling the groove.

GROOVY COURSES

Today I had to take my groovy partner Paula to her first day of her child care course she is starting, so that she can work with children in a day care environment.

Anyway this got me thinking, well if there are courses for so many different learnings and teachings out there, whether it be qualifications, training, online based learning, or whatever it may be there should be a course for being groovy.

How to dress, how to be, how to act, where to go, what to do, where to go all that jazz. It could be a way for people who want to get a bit more groove into their life.

(Definition of groovy: fashionable and exciting, excellent.)

Not some bad definitions to fall into a category of. I thoroughly enjoy being groovy wearing some groovy trend clothes, listening to some groovy music which I must say is the easiest listening regardless of the time of day or place.

I think it is about time we develop something like this, spread the word and help people to get their groove on. I would be more than happy to host on here in Perth so allow us to begin this quest.

My partner can remain in child care, I’m doing something much better, much more fulfilling and much groovier.

COFFEE LOVERS

For you coffee lovers out there, and I know that there are many of you, I have found a new groovy place. It is not a new place, just a new discovery for myself a done that many people have probably not discovered either.

It is in Mount Lawalwy the awesome area that this is indeed. Tucked away in a little arcade is a coffee shop, a cosy and groovy coffee shop/cafe called Bossmans.

To those of you that have been there you know that they do good coffee and the place is well groovy. With dim lighting, comfortable decor furniture and a record player spinning some fine and dandy vinyls. Wash that down with your coffee and your morning is set (also try the banana breadyum)

With a little more room to move, the potential for a dancefloor is there, but none the less it as a cool spot to check out.,

Next time you are in the area and after your coffee fix, try Bossmans. It is boss.
